Last week was quite long and short, all at once. Do you know what I mean?
Before I get into it, I should share that I finally released my Fanny skirt pattern. I am having a give away for any one of my patterns (winners get to choose which one they want) over on my facebook page.
On Monday the girls informed me they wanted to be princesses at school. Kyla wanted to be a Ballerina Princess, and Vada wanted to be a Rock Star Princess. These are the outfits they chose for those looks.
I made Kyla’s hair into a crown for her. She was very happy.
On the way to school, I kept thinking how cute they were. So I took a picture. Somehow, I missed something very obvious. Do you see it? I’ll give you a hint. We are walking to school, and I am not carrying anything. Yup, all three of us forgot the girls’ backpacks. Ooops. So not long after I got home, I had to drive back to school with the backpacks.
I also made a few Christmas~ie pieces for selling at a friend’s art studio. This little tam~type hat is just too adorable, if I do say so myself!
A few boxes have started to arrive for Craft Hope, Project 19. The girls and I will be opening them tomorrow after homework time. I didn’t want to open any up last week, things were just too hectic around here.
This is how most of my mornings have looked as of late. Yesterday’s coffee mug pushed aside for today’s. Looks like I need to clean that table…
The Holiday Gift Shop at school was on Thursday and Friday. I forgot my camera on Thursday, and then still didn’t remember to take any photos until after things got started, so it’s a bit messy in the snaps. Everything for sale had to be $9.00 or less, so I choose to cut some prices on some of my pieces. I guess I’m just a sucker for kids!
I made a whole lot of vinyl record bowls, and used some of them to hold items. I made index card labels so they would be easy for the newer readers to read.
I made this little cutie during lunch on Friday.
On Friday evening, Peggy (one of the other Daisy leaders,) stopped by with a bag of goodies. She is an art teacher, and someone donated the bag. They told her if she didn’t need it to just throw it away. She didn’t need it, but she though I could use it!
There were lots of fun books.
And fabric, and embroidery kits, and embroidery thread, and hooks and needles, and lots of other stuff. Because what I really need is more stuff. But boy do I love it!
I had a nice day at InsaniTea yesterday. Look, I found a Girl Scout mug in the mug stash! It made me happy. As did the yummy peppermint/lemon tea that Ingrid mixed up for me!
I made a few ruffle scarves to sell there. Here is one of them. That’s Travis. Isn’t he just adorable? He’s a music therapy major at Montclair State University.
Well, that is it for now. I should have a tutorial for you in the next few days.
