Dots ~ Make 5, joining as you go
Rnd 1: Make a magic circle (or ch3 and join into a circle with a sl st,) work into that: ch2 (counts as first hdc), 11hdc and sl st to top of beg ch2
Rnd 2: ch3 (counts as first hdc, ch1), (hdc, ch1) in each of next 11hdc, sl st to top of beg ch2, clip yarn, and weave in ends
Joining Dots
Make one dot as per pattern. Start the second dot. After making the first ch3, hdc, ch, continue with round 2, but join the second dot to the first dot with the next 3 chs as follows:
After making hdc, slip hook into a ch sp of the dot you are joining into, continue making ch, *make next hdc as normal, and join next ch into next ch sp of the dot you are joining into, rep from * once more, finish dot as per pattern.
Join remaining dots in the same manner, leaving 3 ch sps free between each join (middle dots will have 3 joins, 3 free, 3 joins, 3 free)
Boarder
Connect new color to the ch sp that is centered at the end of the row of dots (see photo)
Ch1, *sc in same sp, 2sc in each of next 3 sps, **hdc in next sp, dc2tog (these are the 2 sps that joined the dots together, see photo),
hdc in next sp, 2sc in next sp, rep from ** 3 more times, 2sc in esch of next 2 sps, sc in next sp, ch70, sl st into bottom loop of first ch, rep from * once more, sl st to top of first sc, clip yarn, and weave in ends
Wear and enjoy!
