Yarnie items I have and love!

I have a fun free crochet pattern for you today. Have you made something other then a scarf out of the ever~popular net yarn and have some left over with no clue what to do with it? I have the perfect solution for you. You can use it to make a fun, fluffy, puffy, bouncy hair band! All you need is a plain hair band and two or more yards of net yarn.

So here is the video. It is pretty easy to follow, but I have still included written instructions with photos after the video.

Supplies Hair band Net/ruffle yarn, 1 to 4 yards, depending on the size of the puff you want, or if you want to continue all the way around the hair band Pattern ~ worked using the top loops of the net yarn only Insert crochet hook through the hair band and pick up a top loop of the net, about 3 inches in from the end of the yarn. Pull the loop up through the hair band.

Working in every other top loop, pick up 7 more loops. Insert the hook back through the hair band again, and pick up one more loop. Pull the last loop picked up through all the rest of the loops on the hook, leaving just one loop on the hook.

*Pick up the next loop (do not skip one). Working in every other top loop, pick up 6 more loops. Insert the hook back through the hair band again, and pick up one more loop. Pull the last loop picked up through all the rest of the loops on the hook, leaving just one loop on the hook. Repeat from * at least 2 more times, until the puff is of desired size. If you want to continue all the way around the hair band, be sure you can still stretch the band. If you do not make enough repeats you will not be able to stretch the hair band enough to use it. Clip yarn leaving a 3 inch tail, and pull entire tail through the last loop on the hook. Tie the two ends (start and finish) into a square knot.
