Here we go!

For the samples seen here, I used Peaches and Cream yarn, and an 8/H/5mm hook. However, this is really a tutorial showing you how to make flat circles, you can use nearly any yarn and a hook that works with your yarn.

  1. Brilliant! Thank you! I watched your (very easy to follow) video, and I fully understood where you were coming from by round 6… My circle, although in half doubles, is flat as a pancake! Result! Happy days! x

  2. Help! I’m following your directions for the double chain flat circle bot past the 4 the row or starts to ruffle. What am I doing wrong?

    • Join the facebook group I have listed at the bottom of my patterns and post a photo along with a description of what you are doing. I can’t guess what you are doing wrong, so the best thing to do is give more info in the group, including a picture.

  6. I want to know why you change the increase point in each round in dc increasing I mean is it wrong if I increase in all rounds using the first .

    Reply
    • It’s not wrong to do it the other way, I changed the points every other round to disperse them more so they won’t make points as quickly.

  8. This is a great tutorial, thanks! The pattern I’m using just doesn’t make sense so I’m using yours as a starting point. In HDC how would I increase from 48 stitches to 52.

  9. Hi! Great site! I love crochet diagram charts because they’re so easy to follow–and yours look great. May I ask what program you use? I want to create my own snowflake patterns. Thx!

  10. Thank you for this pattern, I really enjoyed learning how to do the flat circle. The pattern I am working on is a 8 Star Circle, and joining new colors in every round to the slip stitch. I am getting holes at theater joining stitch. Is there a better way?

    • Pull both yarn tails really tight when you weave the ends in, and weave them in so they cover any holes you have. This should help.

  11. Hi

Just wanted to know if I can use your circle chart for my new utube channel I will reference you and put in a link to your website. Please reply thanks. It will be a postive reference and how it helped me.

    • You can not republish or show a video of the chart, however, you can share the link to the post so people can go to the post and see the chart themselves. That way I still get traffic to my site and still get paid from my advertisers. Thank you.
