1 thought on “Basic Stocking Hat”

  1. Hi,Jessie I made the basic stocking cap in the child’s size. The last round 7 of the decrease rounds says that there will be 10 stitches remaining; however, there are 20 remaining. I opted to keep it that way though. I could have repeated round 7 to take it down to 10, but I liked the way it looked with 20 stitches. I did use the instructions for the child’s size, but I used worsted weight yarn, size 6 needles for the ribbing, and size 8 for the body. It’s a good fit for an adult female with a small head. I love the pattern.
