I’m not a fan of the cold weather, but I am a fan of being cozy!! Chunky yarns are really in right now, creating big and comfy-cozy items to keep you warm. I like warm. So here is a warm and comfy round up to keep you…warm and comfy!

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.

1) It’s a Cowl Thing by Oombawka Designs
This can be worn in SO many ways! Scroll to the end of the post for some extra photos!

2) Braided and Broken Wrap by Cre8tion Crochet
This oversize wrap combines simple stitches with a creative twist to make them pop. Created all with dc and chains only. Some of the chains are left alone for an open look, while others are twisted into a jacobs ladder. These changes in texture give this wrap a great overall look that is easy to achieve.

3) Hurry Up Holiday Cowl and Hat by Tamara Kelly
The Hurry Up Holiday Cowl and Hat each take just one skein of Lion Brand Hometown USA, and work up in less than an hour.

4) Cowl Hooded Poncho by Celina Lane
If you ever needed a fantastic piece of outerwear that was easy to maintain, store, and make, this is it.

5) Bobbles & BoHo Shawl Crochet Pattern by Geekly Chic Crochet; guest post on Yarn Obsession
Back a few weeks ago when I decided to make this shawl, I started with JaydaInStitches’ Vintage Lace Shawl (inspiration goes to Jayda). As I made mine; I encountered problems, things to tweak, etc. It then evolved into my custom shawl. The one you see here today. ENJOY!!

6) Liz ~ A Super Bulky Hat by Jessie At Home
Made of super bulky yarn and granny inspired, this hat works up quite quickly. It is great for last minute holiday gifts, or winter birthdays. Weave in some extra yarn or ribbon for a decorative band, or just leave it as is.

7) Marciana Lace Prayer Shawl by Marie Segares
I know that when I crochet a gift for someone, I try to put as much love as possible into it. Prayer shawls are supposed to carry the feelings of love and compassion, along with the maker’s prayers, along to the recipient.

Don’t forget to check out some of the other great Round Ups that have happened in Blogland over the last week!
