The girls and I spent Saturday morning with the Girl Scout troop making gingerbread houses.
First they got to make little turkey cookies. Here is Kyla thinking hard about the perfect placement for the candy corn feathers. I would love to show you the finished cookies, but they seem to have been devoured by hungry little carnivores.
After the turkeys, houses were built. Here is Paris making a fun little masterpiece.
All the girls worked very hard and we so very well behaved. They shared wonderfully, and listened (for the most part) to the adult~types.
As the morning went on, the houses started to drop. It seems we were in desperate need of an architect. Vada’s house was doing so well, until just a few minutes before it was time to leave, then this happened.
This awesome picture of Alexia sums it all up. Even though disaster struck nearly every house, the girls just went with it. They had fun, and (mostly) had a good sense of humor about the collapses. Honestly, I was extremely proud of all of them for how well they all dealt with the architectural issues. They are such a great group of girls!
I hope you all are having fun gearing up for the holidays!!
