Ginny’s Grannies CAL part 8 finished the outer section of crochet squares! This is so exciting, we have a rainbow of granny crochet awesomeness that just needs a border.

This month we will finish the granny sampler center of the Ginny’s Grannies CAL. This is just the center, and it is already fabulous! Next month we’ll add a border to the center, then there will be even more awesomeness to come.
If you are looking for something to fill your days, you can make the CAL up to this point and then make the border next month as a baby blanket. If you use a larger yarn and hook, it can even be a throw. So grab your stash and make Parts 1 & 2 a couple times!

So….times are…interesting right now. We’re all about to spend quite a bit of time isolated. Some of us will be isolated with a few others, some, not so much. There is so much to worry about, we need something to keep us occupied. Thankfully, if you are reading this, you most likely know how to knit or crochet. So, I’ve put together some free patterns and a list of yarn and supply delivery for you.
Granny Square Samplers are such a great way to show off your crochet love and skill, plus they’re fun to make and keep you interested. This month we’re starting our granny square sampler blanket smack in the middle. This is going to be a fun adventure, so grab your hook and hold on tight!

It’s Janet’s Garden Wrap Up time! I’m going to share the story of how this blanket got its name, and then share some of your finished gardens. At the end there will even be a chance to win all the yarn needed to make next year’s blanket CAL!

I designed this Dancing Mushroom chart years ago, and I finally found the perfect yarn to turn it into a sweet little blanket.
Classic crochet stitches are great to know, and the linen stitch is by far a favorite of mine. It makes such a wonderful fabric and you can do so much with it by playing with color changes. The way I have used it in the October section of the Janet’s Garden CAL, it makes cute little dots!

Wavy crochet fun is what I have in store for you with this month’s Janet’s Garden CAL section. This part makes some slightly popped waves that I enjoyed designing. This is another section that will need a good bit of blocking. If it’s still a little wavy after blocking, don’t fret; October’s section will get it in shape and you can block again then.
