Seaming Crochet Craftsy class review from Jessie At Home

Last week I took some time and watched Lindsey Stephens’ new Craftsy Class – Seaming Crochet. I am so glad I did!!

Lindsey happens to be one of my tech editors, and that’s saying a lot as I’m very picky about who I trust with my patterns. So, I had high expectations for this class, and I wasn’t disappointed. Lindsey breaks down the various needs for seams – such as (more…)

Stitchopedia - Nettie's Super Simple Stitch in Rows from Jessie At Home

The Nettie’s Super Simple series of patterns all use the same st, sometimes worked in the round, and sometimes worked in rows. This stitch is, as advertised, super simple! It is a stitch pattern that has been used probably since the first hook met hand. This video will show you how to make this stitch pattern in rows, so even a brand new crocheter can create these patterns!! If you are just learning to crochet, and need to know how to make your starting slip knot, a chain stitch, and a slip stitch (which are all the stitches you need), then check out the Learn To Crochet section here.

Here is the video for the Nettie’s Super Simple Stitch in rows. (more…)

Pom poms and tassels are really big right now! (big…lol…I’m funny)

Really though, oversized everything seems to be the thing of the moment, and that includes pom poms and tassels of all shapes and sizes, though bigger does seem to be better. It’s all part of the BOHO fashion movement, and I have to say, I love it! So, I’ve found some fun free patterns full of pom poms and tassels for you.

If you need a hand making some tassels, I LOVE this tool, or you can see this post on making pom poms with a piece of cardboard. I also have a tutorial on making tassels that you can find here.
