Wrapit Loom product review from Jessie At Home

I recently discovered the Wrapit Loom, by the creators of the Rainbow Loom. The Wrapit loom makes wonderful beaded bracelets, and it makes them easy! When I first saw the loom in action I was quite impressed and wanted to give it a go myself. I thought the girls would love it as well. There are actually 2 kits, one for ages 8+ and one for adults. I was lucky enough to get both so the girls and I could try them out and let you know what we thought! (more…)

Hooked Zpagetti yarn review by Jessie At Home

This past January I met some of the wonderful people of Hoooked. We chatted and they sent me home with some Hoooked Zpagetti T-Shirt Yarn in a fun shade of green. You can see the many colors and prints they carry on their site, HERE.

zpagetti yarn

I enjoyed working with the yarn. I see a lot of possibilities for it. You could use a large hook and make a mesh top or cover-up skirt for the summer. You could use a smaller hook and make a rug or trivets or even a bowl as I did. It would also work nicely for Macrame. You can make hats, poofs, toys, all sorts of great things. Take a look at some of the great projects made with it on Ravelry, HERE.

Hooked Zpagetti Yarn Bowl

I used a smaller hook then recommended and made a bowl. It’s Vada’s now, and she loves it. It is nice a sturdy because of the weight of the yarn. I started out with a flat circle in single crochet, and when it was large enough I just started working evenly to make the sides.

Hoooked Zpagetti is a great yarn. Give it a try, you will love it!

Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn review from Jessie At Home

While at Creativations in January I received some Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn and a card showing how to make a macrame plant holder. I decided to give them a try. The Maker Home Dec yarn is really nice. It’s a tubular yarn with a core in the center of the tube. I think it would make a great rug! The colors it comes in are great for current home decor trends as well. (more…)
