I was recently sent some Knitter’s Pride Waves hooks to review. I’ve used them for a few of my recent patterns so I can let you know what I think of them.

The hooks come in a pretty pink or green case with a window in the front and back. Inside there is an elastic strap fro each of the hooks, which keeps them in size order. It’s such a handy little case. I love that I can carry them up and down the stairs as I switch work spaces so easily and organized. (more…)

If you’re like me, you have a few crochet hooks and knitting needles. There are those that you love to use the most, and then the others that just kind of hang out for emergency purposes. Now I’ve tried organizing mine so many times, and I keep failing. I’ve ended up with several cases of hooks, but then there are always the hooks that don’t fit in the cases. (more…)

This summer I was given a della Q hook case and a small pouch to review. I decided the best way to do so was to take them with me on our little beach vacation and see how they fared.

I believe the hook case is actually listed as a dpn (double point needle) case for knitters, but it worked wonderfully for my Knitters Pride Dreamz hooks. It’s just the right size for a set of hooks, and it rolls up and ties easily. The construction is professional and pretty. I used it throughout our vacation, and have continued to use it with no problems. It’s really nice at home where I bounce between the basement and the first floor a lot, I can take all my most used hooks with me and not be without one when I need it! (more…)

Have you ever tried wet felting with roving? I sure hadn’t, I’m only just venturing out into the world of felted art, and I’m having a blast. My latest foray into felting introduced me to Felt Evolution¬†and their awesome felting kits. I tried out the felted picture kit as my intro into wet felting art. (more…)

This summer I purchased a set of Denise2Go interchangable Tunisian hooks – and I paid extra for the pink roll case to give money to Cast Off Chemo! I’ve had the chance to try them out on a few projects, most notably my Glitter and Gleam Super Scarf, and I’ve really enjoyed using them. Now you can pick up your own Denise hooks or needles for 15% off!!! Just pop on over to the Denise site and use code (more…)
