Yup, chaos. Kind of explains a lot going on right now. I seem to have a decent routine on school mornings up unit I get home from taking the girls to school. Then it’s just a bit, well, chaotic. I’m working on getting into a routine during the school days. It seems like there is just more to do then time in the day. Market some days, laundry others, cleaning (always cleaning), organizing all the stuff in the basement, garage, spare room (which will one day be Kyla’s room), working on my designs/patterns, and, of course, spending time with you, my blogland friends. I know I can.

I know I can. I know I can. *I hope*

So here we are, at the beginning of the week. Let’s see how it goes. So far this morning I have gone to the market and done a bit of cleaning/organizing in the basement. Much to my dismay, I think I will need to change out the shut off valve for the outside water. It seems even when it is off, it still drips a bit. I’m giving it a day to see if the dripping stops (maybe it’s just taking a while to empty out), otherwise I will have to stop at Home Depot tomorrow to get a new shut off valve. When my dad was here he put one in that didn’t require any sweating/soldering pipes. You just cut and opening, and slip it in. It’s working great, so I’ll see about getting one of those. Way cheaper then the plumber ($75 just for the house call, then whatever the charge is for parts and labor.) If I do it, I’ll post step by step photos for you all.

So…I’m testing a few patterns. I opened the tests a couple of weeks ago, but I could still use a few more testers, if anyone is interested, and can meet the deadline.

I’m retesting the Fanny skirt, I only had one tester last time around, and would just feel better to have a few other sizes tested. Here is the testing info. ETA – the testing is done, HERE is the pattern

I really love this skirt.

I’m also retesting the Freya vest. My sizing was off. It was too tight the first time around. I have fixed the sizing, and would like a few sizes tested to be sure it is all good now. Here is the testing info for Freya. ETA – testing is done HERE is the pattern.

Another new love of mine. This is a fun lace/rib knit shrug named Angela.

As with most of my patterns, sizes range from XS to 5X. If you want to test this one, the details can be found here. ETA – testing is done HERE is the pattern.

Well, that’s it for now, my friends. Have a lovely week, and I hope to chat with you again soon!

  1. Thanks Laura! The skirt is crochet. The only one of these 3 that is knit is the shrug. You should come to our Fiber arts meetings at InsaniTea (the Yarrrn Club.) Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month from 1 to 4. (InsaniTeaLLC.com)
