Have you ever tried wet felting with roving? I sure hadn’t, I’m only just venturing out into the world of felted art, and I’m having a blast. My latest foray into felting introduced me to Felt Evolution and their awesome felting kits. I tried out the felted picture kit as my intro into wet felting art.
The instructions with the kit were super clear and full of color pictures. I felt like I had a teacher right there with me, it was all spelled out so well.
I really loved the way it looked before felting, but there was no way it was going to stay that way. So time to wet felt!
Once all the wet felting was done, the picture wasn’t done yet, there was still needle felting to be done. All those supplies were included in the kit as well. The only things you need to provide yourself are: a towel, a spray bottle, 2 large bowls, a squirt of dish soap, and a small amount of white vinegar. All things we already had hanging about the house.
I loved the finished picture after I needed felted it. It was a lot of fun to add all the little details. The whole thing took a couple hours start to finish.
Felt Evolution has a variety of kits to try out, plus some wonderful felting supplies for those of you who want to create your own original works. You can check it all out at the Etsy store, HERE.
