I’m in Interweave!

I received a package yesterday that reminded me I forgot to share something with you! With all the craziness of the TNNA show, the end of the school year, and taking 12 Girl Scout Brownies camping this weekend, things have gotten away from me.

Remember my Waterfall Necklace that earned an honorable mention in the accessories category of the 2014 CGOA Design Competition? Well, the pattern has finally been published, and look who I published it with!!

I may have gotten a bit happy about being in Interweave Crochet and bought a few extras. But I needed one for my parents, and one for my Grammy, and one to look through, and one to keep all pretty, and that only leaves me with one extra.

The waterfall necklace got a bit of a makeover before gracing the pages of Interweave. It needed to fit into their wedding theme, and all those bright colors were a bit much for the wedding theme!

Here are some photos from the magazine. All photos are used with permission from Interweave Crochet/Harper Point Photography.

I am so madly in love with these photos. Everyone involved did an awesome job, and I could not be a happier designer! The editor even called me before the shoot to be sure they had the necklace on correctly. How awesome is that? I had a photo of the necklace on my dress form and I meant to send it along with the pattern so that they would know the proper placement (it would be easy to think the buttons go in the back) but I forgot to send it. I was super impressed that they called me, and I just emailed the photo right over so they had it to look at during the shoot.

I have to say, I really love the side detail of this necklace.

    • Thank you! Bad pictures can really hurt a design, but these just make the necklace even better. I nearly cried (happy tears) when I saw them. 🙂

  1. I NEVER LIKED NECKLACE OR ACCESSORIES IN CRAFTS, BUT I ADMIT THIS IS A GORGEOUS PIECE THAT IF I WAS YOUNGER I WOULD LOVE TO WEAR. TOO BAD I DID NOT SEE IT YEARS AGO. WHAT A LOSS.!!!! GREAT JOB JESSIE.

    • Thanks! We actually leave tomorrow. We’re very excited! We packed yesterday, and will leave straight from school tomorrow ~ I’m a leader, so I want to be the first one from our troop there. It’s our first camping trip with the troop, and most of the girls will have a parent with them as well.

  4. Love this necklace! Actually saw the multicolored one somewhere else and came here looking for the pattern so that I can make it. Buying the magazine now. Hopefully the wedding pattern is not much different than the multicolored one…
