To read about the Jake’s Blankie CAL (Crochet ALong) and to find the links to each week’s post, click here. The intro post will also give you all the yarn info for the blanket, and other links that may help. I have created an event in my Facebook page to share photos and ask questions. You can find the event here.

This week we will be making the first of 4 Kismet Squares.

If you need a refresher on the Join As You Go method, find that here.

Square #5:
Make one Kismet Square as follows: Make the 7 rounds of the center Jacob’s Square in color B, make the first round of the Kismet Square continuation in color C, make the remainder of the square in color A. Finish as written up to the final round of the Kismet Square. On final round, join square #5 under squares #3 and 4 in the following manner:
Crochet the first side of the final round up to the corner, make the first ch of the ch 2 corner normally, join the next ch to the bottom right ch-2 corner of square #4, join the next 21 sc in the pattern to the 21 sc at the bottom of square #4, join the next sc in the pattern to the joined corners of squares # 3 & 4, join the next 21 sc in the pattern to the 21 sc at the bottom of square #3, join the first ch of the ch 2 corner into the corner join of squares #2 & 3. Finish off the square as it is written and weave in all ends.

Don’t forget to make a Revelry Project page and link it to the CAL!

Here’s another color option!
