The intro post will also give you all the yarn info for the blanket, and other links that may help. I have created an event in my Facebook page to share photos and ask questions. For week 4 of our CAL we will be making the second of 4 Kismet Squares. At that point you will be half way done with the squares for your blanket.
If you need a refresher on the Join As You Go method, find that here.
Make one Kismet Square as follows: Starting with color A, make every other square A and then B ~ So for the center Jacob’s square the odd rounds will be color A and the even rounds will be color B, then for the Kismet square continuation the odd rounds will be color B and the even rounds will be color A. On final round, join square #6 next to square #5 and under squares #1 and 2 in the following manner:
Crochet the first side of the final round up to the corner, make the first ch of the ch 2 corner normally, join the next ch to the bottom left ch-2 corner of square #5, join the next 43 sc to the 43 sc on the left side of square #4, join the first corner ch to the join of squares # 5 and 3, join the second corner ch to the join of squares #2 and 3, join the next 21 sc in the pattern to the 21 sc at the bottom of square #2, join the next sc in the pattern to the joined corners of squares #1 and 2, join the next 21 sc in the pattern to the 21 sc at the bottom of square #1, join the first ch of the ch 2 corner into the bottom right corner of square #1. Finish off the square as it is written and weave in all ends.
Here’s another color option!
