My sister-in-law’s little girl just turned one. There was a birthday party for her on the 14th at my mother-in-law’s house. There were quite a few people Doug and I didn’t know – we are guessing they were Madison’s father’s family. No one introduced anyone, so I still don’t even know their names. It always seems odd to me that my husband’s family never bothers to introduce people. Anyway, there were some new toys at Nana’s house to play with.
Kyla fell in love with this toy cat that moved and purred. I thought it was a bit freaky, but Kyla was happy!
Vada had fun with the Little People toys.
Madison decided she needed to push the little scooter all over the place. A little girl who I don’t know made a bridge for Madison to drive under. It was quite cute.
Eventually there was cake. Vada stuck her finger in it, and then ran over to me to clean her finger. She needs to learn that if you are going to swipe some cake, you should eat it! It was only a tiny bit, see the little brown spot of chocolate cake peeking through in the corner?
Not to be outdone at her own birthday party, Madison reached forward and swiped a whole handful of cake!
At some point someone had given the girls some balloons. Vada had a blast running around being followed by her balloon.
As usual, Kyla forgot about the importance of holding onto the balloon. She asked her Uncle Tim for help.
Even together, they still couldn’t reach.
All in all, the girls had a great time at their cousin Madison’s birthday party!
