Nettie’s Super Simple Tube Wrap
Crochet Pattern
Easy Skill Level
Designed by Jessie Rayot

The second in the Nettie’s Super Simple series, this tube wrap is so impressive you won’t believe how easy it is! Made with 2 strands of Lion Brand Heartland, the color changes melt into each other to create a stunning gradient. I’ve made a video to help with this stitch pattern. I have also included links to video tutorials for the chain stitch and the slip stitch (which is just making a chain st into another st) so even a beginner can make this wrap. Enjoy!!

Size:
80″ around

Yarn:
Lion Brand Heartland 500 g/885 yd/810 m (approximately 3.5 skeins) in various colors – colors used in the sample pictured are listed at the end of the pattern.

Hook/Needles:
US J/10/6.00 mm

Gauge:
12 chains in 4″ using 2 strands

Other supplies:
Yarn needle to weave in ends.

Stitches and Skills used:
ch ~ chain
sl st ~ slip stitch
sp(s) ~ space(s)
st(s) ~ stitch(es)

Getting Started:
Find a written, photo, and video tutorial for the chain stitch here, and for the slip stitch here. Find the video tutorial for the Nettie’s Super Simple Stitch in the round here.
A small variation in gauge is fine, though it will change the size of the finished wrap.

Pattern:
Work entire pattern holding 2 strands of yarn together as one.
Rnd 1: Ch 300, taking care not to twist, sl st to first ch to form a long circle.
Continuous rounds:  * Chain 7, skip 7, sl st to next st, repeat from * in continuous rounds (spiral) to desired size, the sample in the pictures is 34 rounds.

Weave in ends.

Wear or give and enjoy!

The sample seen in the photos was made as follows:
6 rounds of 1 strand #105 Glacier Bay and 1 strand #109 Olympic
3 rounds of 2 strands #109 Olympic
9 rounds of 1 strand #109 Olympic and 1 strand #147 Hot Springs
6 rounds of 2 strands #147 Hot Springs
6 rounds of 1 strand #147 Hot Springs and 1 strand #189 Isle Royal
4 rounds of 2 strands #189 Isle Royal

There will be several patterns in the Nettie series released through the winter, they will all be combined into one PDF, which is available from Craftsy at the link below. As the new patterns are released, they will be added to the PDF. If you purchase the PDF before they are all added, you will receive an updated PDF from Craftsy as each pattern is added. The final version of the PDF will also include suggestions on how to make your own variations.
