This past Sunday I went on the NYC Yarn Crawl with my awesome friends Marie of Underground Crafter and Amy of The Stitchin’ Mommy. We weren’t able to hit all the stores on the crawl, as we just had one day, but we had a great time at the stores we did hit.
Our first store was School Products Yarn. I didn’t snap any photos at that store, Â but I got some at the rest.
Our second stop was Annie & Company.
We really enjoyed this store. It was pretty big, and full of some of the most scrumptious yarn!! Plus, they had a bunch of fun buttons!!
They had a whole section of Wonderland Yarns, and look what I found: a sample of Skylark in Wonderland!
Next, we took a lunch break at a Thai restaurant. Amusingly, we all ordered the same think – Thai iced tea and chicken pad Thai. It was really good!
After that we hit Downtown Yarns.
There was so much lovely yarn to admire!
Our last stop was Purl Soho. It was really packed inside so I didn’t get any inside pictures. It was fun to finally go there, as I have been following their blog for many years. It was smaller than I had imagined, but I loved it!
Our last stop was Lion Brand Studio. We realized we needed a snap of the 3 of us, so selfie time it was!
I love the sampling wall they have in the store. You can swatch from many of the most popular yarns. It’s pretty nifty.
After Lion Brand we all needed a bit of a rest, so we stopped at Starbucks until it was time for Amy’s train. After some coffee and more chat, we all went home. A great time was had by all!!
Oh, and we walked 7.4 miles.
