Panda Wrap
Crochet Pattern
Easy Skill Level
Designed by Jessie Rayot

The Panda Wrap is named for the super soft and silky Panda Pearl Yarn that it’s made from. It’s a semi-circle wrap made in 3 colors, so there is no need to clip the yarn from row to row. This wrap is great for cool summer evenings, as it is very lightweight.

  1. Dear Jessie,
thank you this perfect and beautiful wrap!
Should I ask for a diagram? Usually I like better make the crochet if there is a diagram.
    Thank you very much!
    Have a great weekend!

    • How many stitches are you ending up with? It’s hard for me to know what went wrong if I don’t know what you did. You may want to join the facebook group linked at the bottom of the pattern and post a photo of what you have with your question.

  3. Hi. I would like to make this shawl. But I have two questions.
! – Is there a comparable less expensive yarn I can substitute?
2- How can I make it longer without losing the shape?
    Thank you,
    Debbie

    • Usually you can look on Ravelry for yarn subs. I didn’t do the math to make it longer, so I don’t have an answer for that.

  4. I looked on Ravelry as you had suggested in another comment for a substitute yarn, but since this yarn is discontinued, there is nothing that shows. And I just recently found this pattern on FB. It’s very frustrating when I spend over an hour online trying to find a yarn that works, and not find anything

    • I’m sorry, I had no idea the yarn company was going to go out of business. Try using another yarn of the same weight and gauge. Maybe Red Heart Soft.

  5. I’m stuck on row 13. I’ve finished the row and checked carefully that I have done it correctly, which I have. It has left me only half way through the row with only 55 sts worked. Can you help please? I love this shawl and really want to finish it.

    • I just checked it and it looks right. Make sure you are skipping the stitches you are supposed to skip and doing all the repeats. The Chains count as sts.

      • Thank you, Jessie. I’m just wondering about the part that says *ch 1, dc in next st, [ch 1, skip 1, dc in next st] 3 times I’ve only repeated the part in square brackets 3 times. Am I supposed to repeat from the * part first and then the part in square brackets 3 times? Maybe that’s where I’ve gone wrong but I don’t know.

          • Thanks again Jessie. It’s reasuring to know I’ve got that part right. I’ll have another go. Thanks so much. It’s such a lovely pattern.
