Abbreviations:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
st(s) – stitch(es)

SHELL STITCH – Ch a multiple of 6 plus 1 (plus 1 for turning)
Row 1: Ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each remaining ch. – 25 sc
Row 2: Turn, sc in first st, * skip 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * to end. – 25 sts
Row 3: Turn, ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, 1 sc in 3rd dc of 5 dc group, * 5 dc in next sc, 1 sc in 3rd dc of 5 dc group, repeat from * through last set of 5 dc, 3 dc in last sc.
Row 4: Turn, sc in first dc, * 5 dc in next sc, 1 sc in 3rd dc of 5 dc group, repeat from * working last sc in top of ch 3.
Repeat rows 3&4
