Made with Caron Simply Soft 945 yards (3 full skeins), Country Blue with a US 10.5/K/6.50 mm hook by Lisa Janowiec-Young

After learning the little fans stitch, I just had to create more with it! I have always loved the slanted wraps, so I decided to mix the two. This pattern was written using Berocco Remix yarn, though it can be adjusted for various yarns and gauges. Check out the Stitchopedia entry for the little fans stitch to see a video showing how to make the stitch.

About 14” by 80” or whatever size you want!

Getting Started:
See this tutorial for the Little Fans Stitch pattern to make your gauge swatch.
Be sure to pay attention to the beginning and end of each row in the wrap pattern as they are what create the slant.

Pattern:

Row 1: Ch 81, sc in second ch from hook and each remaining ch. (80 sc)
**If you need to adjust the starting chain for a different size or gauge, then be sure to ch a multiple of 4 plus 1.

Row 2: Turn, ch 4, 3 dc in same st, *ch 1, skip 3, 3 dc in next st, rep from * until 3 sts remain, dc in last st.
**Note that there is NO ch 1 before the last dc, if you are getting a straight edge on one side as you continue the pattern it is most likely because you are adding in a ch 1 and then working into it on the next row.

Row 3: Turn, ch 3, * dc in next ch-1, dc in center st below the same ch-1, dc in same ch-1, ch 1, rep from * until the starting ch 4 from the previous row is reached, (3 dc, ch 1, dc) in the top of the ch 4.

Row 4: Turn, ch 4, 3 dc in the ch-1, *ch 1, dc in next ch-1, dc in center st below the same ch-1, dc in same ch-1, rep from * to until all ch-1s have been worked into, dc in the starting ch 3 of the previous row.
**Note that there is NO ch 1 before the last dc, if you are getting a straight edge on one side as you continue the pattern it is most likely because you are adding in a ch 1 and then working into it on the next row.

Repeat rows 3 & 4: to desired length.

Last Row: Turn, ch 1, [sc in each of next 3 dc, sc over ch-1 and in center st below the same ch-1] through last ch-1, sc in each of last 3 dc, 3 sc in starting ch 4 from the previous row.

Fasten off and weave in ends
