I love the Spider Stitch! I have been using it for years, but I only just learned the name. It creates a fabric that drapes nicely, without being open or lacey. Would you like to learn? I have made a video to teach you this simple stitch pattern, and I have also written out instructions for you, and made a chart and pattern for a little practice square. Enjoy!

Kind of hard to follow along. Video is dark and not close up enough to make sure what I am following along.
No worries, if the video is not to your liking, there are written instructions and a chart as well!
I love this stitch but had trouble going thru the chain 1 space. So I started over and chained 2 instead of 1. My piece looks great and it’s much easier to work with.
That is easier, but it will change your gauge significantly if you are trying to follow a pattern. I like the look of that stitch as well!!
Hi! I just made a baby blanket with this stitch (love it!) and have some leftover yarn. I would like to make a baby hat to match. Do you have a pattern? Especially looking for one with ear flaps but not totally necessary.
Not in spider stitch, but I have lots of hat patterns.
Thank you for the video it was very easy to follow. Just want to say I appreciate the time you took to do this.
You’re welcome, and thank you!!
