Stars and Stripes Bunting
Crochet Pattern
Easy Skill Level
Designed by Jessie Rayot

Show off your patriotic pride with this quick and easy Stars and Stripes Bunting! The stars are motifs that can be made in a solid color; in a red, white, and blue variegated yarn; or you can even make each of the 3 rounds a different color: one red, one white, and one blue. The stripes come in at the ribbon holding the stars together. Again you can make it solid, variegated or one of each of the 3 rows a different color. Of course, you can also make this bunting in any other colors you would like; or you can make the stars alone for coasters or appliques. There is a video and a chart for the stars as well plenty of photos. Enjoy!

SKILL LEVEL:
Easy

YARN:
Any really, for bunting I recommend a worsted weight or DK weight so it is not too small, and for coasters I recommend cotton yarn so that it absorbs any liquid. For the samples I used a variegated cotton mill end yarn (so I am unsure of the brand) and red, white, and blue Red Heart Super Saver.

STITCHES AND ABBRIVIATIONS USED:

sl st ~ slip stitch
ch ~ chain
hdc ~ half double crochet
dc ~ double crochet
tr ~ treble crochet
rnd ~ round

HOOK:
Whichever size works with your yarn

SIZE:
It will depend on your yarn, with worsted weight yarn and a 5.00 mm hook the stars are about 4.5” across.

  1. I love the bunting! I’m planning on making it for the 4th of July and it’s my dad’s birthday. And he sure is a firecracker 🧨. Thank you so much for your patterns. Happy Mothers Day!
