The slip stitch is not just for joining your rounds! There are some wonderful patterns out there with large parts, or sometimes even entirely, made of slip stitch. Here you will learn the basic slip stitch which is worked through both loops, plus you will learn to slip stitch in the front loop only or the back loop only. There are even more techniques, creating even more looks, but these three are a great way for you to get started!

Slip Stitch (sl st): Insert hook into next st, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook.
Here are several ways for you to learn the slip stitch:

Row 1: With color A, ch 20, turn, sl st into the bottom loop of the second ch from hook and each rem ch. (19 sl st)
Row 2 ~ 5: Turn, ch 1, sl st in both loops of each st across. (19 sl st)
Row 6 ~ 7: With color B, turn, ch 1, sl st in both loops of each st across. (19 sl st)
Row 8 ~ 9: With color A, turn, ch 1, sl st in both loops of each st across. (19 sl st)
Row 10 ~ 11: With color B, turn, ch 1, sl st in both loops of each st across. (19 sl st)
