Tea Time uses Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter mini-skein pack in Tea Time and Mad Hatter full size skein in White Rabbit to create a playful scarf of speckled stripes. Each colored stripe is smaller than the last, and each white stripe is smaller than the last. The look of this crochet wrap is beautiful and great for your next tea party or evening out!

The Julia Shawl was designed for Frabjous Fibers and Yarnbox. It’s a variation of my Juliette Shawl. There were a few things I wanted to do differently with that pattern after feedback from crocheters, so I was quite happy when I was asked to come up with a new version for Yarnbox. I really love the finished pattern for this one!!

I’ve had many requests for a knit version of Skylark in Wonderland, so here it is! This flowing wrap uses Frabjous Fibers Mad Hatter (DK weight) yarn, which comes in many colors for you to personalize your own! It also features short rows for the shaping. When laid out flat, it really does resemble a bird wing.

Amalthea is a striped shawl that mixes lace and solid sections and is made from the corner out, creating an asymmetrical and intriguing look. One skein each of Frabjous Fibers/Wonderland Yarns Unicorn and Cheshire Cat yarns are all it takes to make this shawl, with enough left over to make the matching hat, available here. The name for this shawl was inspired by the name of a unicorn in one of my favorite movies from childhood. You are sure to stop the show when you wear this set out!!

Today I have a fun knit pattern for you using a gradient pack from Frabjous Fibers along with an accent color. This long skinny wrap features alternating sections of garter stitch with sections of stockinette stitch and utilizes short rows to create it’s round shape. This fun piece can be worn as a short wrap, a scarf, wrapped around your neck as a cowl, draped like a shawl, or any number of fun ways! I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed designing it.

Happy Tuesday my friends! I hope your week is off to a good start.

Did you do anything special for I Love Yarn Day on Saturday? I went to Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival. I didn’t take a lot of pictures, as I was having a lot of fun and kept forgetting.

I did remember to take a photograph of where I parked. I’ve been doing that a lot when I go somewhere by myself. I’m always worried I’ll forget where I parked. But I’m sure you don’t need to see that photo, so here are a couple I took of yarnie people and pretty fall foliage.

The Sheep and Wool Festival is often just referred to as “Rhinebeck” by yarnie folk, as it is in Rhinebeck, NY. It happens (more…)
