WiP Wednesday ~ 3/27/13

Another week has gone by, and I haven’t touched the Kat coat. I want to, but I need to get ready for the craft fairs. The first is 2 weeks from Friday. Hopefully I will be able to slow down a bit soon. Here we have lots ‘o labeled and priced soap bags… and face cloths… and bath mitts. I will most likely combine a few into gift baskets as well. I think my children count as works in progress. … Read more

Face-cloths-for-sale!

WiP Wednesday ~ 3/20/13

Well, there is not a lot to report this week. With all the germs running around this week, I wasn’t as productive as I would have liked to have been. Thursday through Saturday I was unable to knit or crochet or do anything other then lay on the couch. Whenever I tried to focus on anything I got very dizzy and nauseous. So, not much done… Oh well. I did start playing with my new yarn and tulle. Just a sneak … Read more

Bath Mitt – Spa Set

Another addition to the Spa Set. Here is a free bath mitt pattern for you!

This is great for scrubbing up the kiddies, or for pampering yourself. I have made two sizes, a small because I like my bath mitts to fit snugly, and a medium because I know a lot of people like the mitts to be looser. The pattern can be made with a thumb or with just a thumb hole, and with or without a ribbed bottom.

Soap Bag ~ Spa Set

If liquid soap and a bath pouf is not your thing, then this soap bag is the spa accessory for you! Just slip your bar soap inside and tie it shut, then enjoy the scrubby bubbles. This bag can be reused when your soap is gone, and it can even be tossed in the washing machine. Just be sure to give it a good rinse before, so you do not over sud your machine with all the soap still in … Read more

Textured cotton washcloth ~ Spa Set

These cotton crocheted washcloths are become more and more popular. If you have ever used one you know why. They are so soft and so scrubby all at the same time. It really is a spa experience  They are a great way to pamper yourself or make some and give them to pamper someone you know could use a little TLC.

I tried a variety of stitches, and here is the one that I liked the most. It works up very quickly, and without taking up too much yarn.

Bath Pouf in two sizes – Spa Set

I love using my bath pouf, but I am always buying new ones. They either stretch out, or I just feel like I have had them long enough and they are no longer “clean.” That is why I am so fond of these crocheted versions. Just toss them in with the towels on laundry day, and they are ready to keep on cleaning! Such a money saver. Plus, they feel even better then the nylon net variety. Grab some cotton yarn and hook yourself a spa day!
