I had some technical difficulties with my laptop just after my last post. Everything is working fine now, but I sure have a lot of reading to catch up on with all the blogs I love to read!
The girls and I have been taking lots of morning walks. We spend a long time walking through the park, and sometimes end with a while playing in the playground.
However, before we walk around the park, we cut through the park to go see all the lovely books!
They just LOVE the library. I was getting many looks and shouts for wasting time taking pictures when we could be reading and finding new books to bring home for the night.
Normally the library trip starts off with returning books/DVDs, and then we take a quick stop at the DVD binders to find one movie for the girls to watch after their nap. Most of the time we get something educational, like Sesame Street “Amazing Alphabet Game!”, but once or twice a week we will get something that is just fun, like “Sword in the Stone”. The after-nap-movie is usually the only TV the girls get other then one episode of Curious George at noon, before the nap.
Anyway, from there we travel upstairs to the kiddie section and we read a few books. Then the girls each choose a board book to take home, and I choose one, also. Those three books are our bedtime stories.
This trip was a bit different. The girls decided it was puppet time! Kyla found the dragon right off.
Look at this cute little puppet theatre in the kiddie section of the Library.
They have all sorts of wonderful puppets.
Even Clifford! He’s always been one of my favorites. I used to love to read all about that Big Red Dog!!
“Don’t look Mom, we’re getting ready for the show!”
Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess and a handsome prince.
There was a wizard, too.
And they all lived happily ever after.
