This Textured Bath Mat is super colorful and fun for your feet. I love the way textured bath mats feel on my feet! This one combines 2 sizes of popcorn stitches and Jacob’s Ladder stitch along with a rainbow of colors. The Red Heart Creme de la Creme 100% cotton yarn is the perfect yarn for this joyful creation.
It’s time for a new Crochet Along (CAL)!
Our CAL will run for 6 weeks, counting this week ~ this is your prep week. Every Monday the week’s post will be released, with all the info you need for that week. I would love to add one more post after the final CAL post to show off your creations. So make sure to take pictures as you go, and share them in the Jessie At Home CAL / KAL facebook group. That is where I will go to find photos to share.
So, here is your supply list so you can get ready.

Awesome pattern, Jessie! Can’t wait to start this CAL. Just a quick question: how many skeins of each color are are required, or if I were to make a one-color bath rug, how many total? Thanks again for your hard work and creativity!
1 full skein of each color. I’ll go back into the post and clarify that. If you are using one color, you will need 7 skeins, as it uses almost all of each skein.
Thanks so much Jessie. Buying yarn tomorrow! Your pattern is perfect for me guest bathroom and a couple of Christmas gifts! Can’t wait to get started.
Question: how many yards is in one skein of the recommended yarn? I might be buying a different brand and would like to have enough yards still for the project. I can’t wait to get started on this!!
I don’t remember off hand, the yarn is linked in several places, all the details will be there.
Would this be slippery on the floor?
If you have a really slippery floor, it might be. But it is cotton (if you use the suggested yarn) so it isn’t a really slippery yarn. You can always use puff paint or hot glued dots or some other trick to keep it from slipping.
where can i find this pattern?
If you read the post you will see that this is a CAL. All the info on when the posts will happen is in the post you just replied to.
If I use Lily sugar and cream cotton how many ounces do I need?
Compare it to the recommended yarn and go from there. I used 1 full skein of each color.
I can’t find out here how many ounces each skein is I assume they are about 3 1/2 oz. each.so if I buy 2 cones of 14 oz. Cotton yarn should that be enough?
28 oz should be more than enough.
How big is this bathmat in inches? It’s very pretty in picture I was starting yesterday its kind of difficult for me these new stitches but will be worth it.
The measurements are listed under “size”.
I know it is 7 skeins of the cotton yarn …. sorry, but is that the 2.4 oz (small) skeins!?? Several of the items features in the ads are the come or larger skein – really dont want to over buy the cotton – just want enough for this great project! TIA
I’ve only seen the suggested yarn (Red Heart Creme de la Creme) come in 2.5 oz, so I wasn’t trying to be vague, sorry.
Thank you so much, Jessie. And thank you for the pattern & CAL…Love it!!
So pretty, colorful and happy. Will tweet and pin. 🙂
