Well, after 4 years of home ownership, we finally renovated Vada’s room. I still need to make the curtains and a few decorative pillows, but otherwise, it’s done! (I may just go to Target and get some cheap curtains for now.)
This is how it all started. Can you see what it will look like?
We picked up some wood shapes, scrapbook paper, and Mod Podge and Vada and I made some little wall decorations.
Doug had painted the room light blue with medium blue trim a while back (right after replacing the ceiling), so that made things go a bit quicker. Doug added some clouds to the ceiling.
Doug painted the trim green, then I added some grass and stems with leaves, and Doug followed behind me making flowers with a round sponge brush. I think there are 63 flowers total in the room. Then Doug started on the floor.
We picked up some cube storage and a bookshelf and spent the better part of an entire day putting things together. Isn’t the floor pretty?
Once everything was together and in place, I laid down a bunch of circles I’d been making. Can you guess why? You’ll see later.
Here are some finished pictures! This is the closet wall.
And the angled wall.
The big window wall
And the door wall with all the storage stuff.
Here are those circles! I made a rug. It was a bit of a pain, but I LOVE it!!!
There you go, Vada’s newly renovated room. Do you like it?
