Just a quick update for you all before I call it a night. It has been a LONG day!

I had a nice Sunday at InsaniTea. I have been trying to kick this virus/bug/thing that I got from the girls, so I asked Ingrid to make me up some of her special tea mix to take home. Even the name makes me feel better!

If you can’t read that, it says “HAPPY HAPPY FUN TIME FEEL BETTER TEA”

On Friday both the girls were especially proud of the outfits they chose for school, and they wanted me to take their pictures to share with you. Kyla was feeling very pink. She likes to choose a color and go with it head to toe. I am fond of the patterned socks with the cute shoes!

Then there is my little spooky girl. Vada just loves anything Halloween. She wears Halloween clothes year round, and is proud! Some people think I am odd letting my kids pick their own clothes at this age. I think it’s nice for them to be able to express themselves! I do edit when needed. For example, Vada is wearing black tight shorts under her skirt because I made her go upstairs and put them on. I don’t let them go to school with a skirt that is above the knees unless they have tights or tight pants/shorts underneath. I don’t want them to be distracted in school by having to worry about not flashing their underwear. Kids this age love underwear jokes, so why take a chance?

Remember when I showed you that long~legged doll that we were given with some hand~me~down toys? Well, she is become a favorite of Vada’s. We even had to give her a name. After much deliberation, she has been named…

Buttercup!

Well, Buttercup’s dress didn’t fit very well. It bugged me. Vada is so attached to her, I thought she deserved a dress that fit. So I found some crochet thread in Vada’s favorite colors, and made her a new dress.

Well, that’s all I have in me this evening. It’s been a long day! (5 loads of laundry, built lifts for the bed frame, cleaned the garage a bit, made Buttercup’s dress, and did all that Mommy stuff I do every day) I think my bed is calling…
