Willow Yarns Coastal yarn review from Jessie At HomePin

I’m rather smitten with the newest yarn from Willow Yarns: Coastal. This is what Willow Yarns has to say about it:

[pullquote width=”700″ float=”center”]Crafted from the same butter-soft cotton as Willow Meadow, Willow Coastal brings new flare to your favorite cotton yarn. Colors move from one to the next, in colorways inspired by mountains, deserts, rivers, and forests, leaving you to relax and enjoy your stitching. Machine washable and soft on the hands, Coastal will easily become your first choice for sweaters, wraps, and scarves.[/pullquote]

They are right, it’s pretty awesome. I love the long color runs in the it. So many variegated yarns have such short sections of color, but this one has nice long sections. You get to really enjoy each color before it changes, and the finished item seems to have a much more laid back look without the rush to change colors. Something about it is so soothing.

The yarn itself is high quality – super soft and super strong. I made a beach bag with 2 balls of Coastal – today’s free pattern as a matter of fact – and I feel secure that it will hold up for a long time.

In addition, Willow has set up a coupon code for me to share with you!! Through April 15th you can get 10% off your purchase by using code:
WILLOW10
So pop on over to Willow and grab yourself some wonderful yarn!!

  1. Did you find this cotton very similar to what Michael’s sold under the Issac Mizrahi brand? I bought lots when they were discontinuing it and fell in love with it. The colors look to be exactly what I need to make my blankets bigger. Getting excited!!!

    • Dawn I love the Mizrahi yarn I found at Michaels too. What luscious colors and what a joy to work with. I didn’t know it was being discontinued – a bit of a rush right out and get more. Where are you? I’m in Charlotte North Carolina.
