Zenbroidery review from Jessie At HomePin

I had the pleasure of meeting with some of the wonderful people behind Zenbroidery when I was at Creativation this past January. We had a lovely chat about their products and about blogging. It was really a fun time, I love talking to companies about how we can work together in a way that benefits us both!

Zenbroidery KitsPin

In this case, Design Works (Zenbroidery) sent me some kits and a trim pack to try out and share with you. They were kind enough to send a K and a V for the girls, and an R for me (for our last name.) The girls have not started with theirs yet, so that will be another post for later. It may be something we do on rainy days this summer, as they will need to be taught some embroidery stitches first. They are both really excited about it!

The kits include the printed cloth, a needle, and an instruction page that shows some embroidery stitches. You can also find some great videos over on the Zenbroidery site, HERE.

It’s been quite some time since I was able to practice my embroidery, and boy was I glad I still remembered it. I had such a nice time playing around with the colors and the stitches and being able to decorate it however I wanted!

It went a lot faster than I thought it would, probably because I was having such a good time. I went back and forth about using the beads and sequins included in the trim kit, and in the end I decided to go for it!

I am very happy with the finished product. It was a joy to create, and it now has a home by our front door for all to see.

If you would like your own kit, they can be purchased in various stores, both on and off line. I found a wonderful selection from a trusted online source, Herrschners, HERE. They even have the trim kit, which is enough for a couple of the designs. We’ll be able to do all 3 initials and most likely not even use up half the trim kit. You can also find more of the kits from Blitsy, HERE, they have the alphabet kits!!

So grab a trim kit and a couple Zenbroidery kits and get creative!!
