Here is a little Christmas review for all of you. I will have a few more posts for you with more snaps from between Christmas and now.
I have become much more focused on designing and writing my patterns, and on increasing the quality even more. Hence the bombardment of videos that I have been adding lately. Now my patterns not only have step by step photos of certain sections, but links to videos to help those who really like to see how it’s done!
Of course I still have the free patterns as well! Here are some shots of the knit and crochet versions of the Lorraine Earwarmer pattern.
We also unpacked all the Christmas goodies (which were all packed back up again today.) That meant for a few weeks I had my holiday coffee mug!
Coffee is good when working on patterns. Good. Coffee. Good.
I have been wading through piles of yarn. Every time the pile gets small, I add more. I think I have a problem…
In an attempt to get a bit more organized, I grabbed an old table end table from the basement so I would have some storage by my couch. We do have a coffee table, but it is by the other couch, and I try not to clutter it.
It has an adjustable shelf, but no back. I found an old basket downstairs as well. Yea for organization!
More boxes keep arriving for Craft Hope Project 19. We did just open a bunch today, that post is forthcoming.
The Saturday before Christmas, my mother~in~law took us all to see the Nutcracker. The girls got all dressed up.
Kyla wanted to wear her new scrunchie one of her school friends gave her.
The girls and their cousins were quite excited about the ballet. It was a decent production. From me that’s pretty good praise as I am a bit of a ballet snob, and have only ever seen the Nutcracker before preformed by the Joffrey Ballet. Front and center, no less. Like I said: snob.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and I finally finished making the last present at 11:15. Somehow, I managed to make it to bed before midnight.
Vada loved her new skirt.
Kyla loved hers as well!
The girls made out rather well. I know some kids get much larger piles, but we are a bit minimalist here, regardless of finances. I guess we are a bit old fashioned.
The Christmas train was a favorite. Mine and theirs!
Later it was off to Doug’s family home. As always his sister gave out lots of cookies. She’s getting really good at this cookie thing. They used to be all burnt and crumbly, yet somehow they were still good. Now they are gone in a few days because they are awesome!
I always love seeing the Christmas tree train. Doug’s step~father is a train guy, and it always makes Christmas a little more special!
I had made some crock pot party cocoa, and the girls used it for a tea party.
Aren’t the spoons they used just gorgeous?!
We took lots of family photos as well. I will share those in another post soon.
Happy new year my friends!!

Hey Jess, Thanks for sharing, I love seeing the pictures. The skirts are really cute; I see why the girls like them so much.
