We have finally finished opening the last of the Project 19 boxes. Those boxes kept coming all the way into February, and I wanted to wait to show you the final pile ‘o hope until they were all here and opened and hugged.
Here is the tiniest package of hope that we received, and its inhabitant. Isn’t she the cutest?
Kyla was very excited about the Rainbow Unicorn!!
We had been in contact with the Boys and Girls clubs of Hobokin and Jersey City. It turns out we have more softies then they need!!
So we contacted the United Way of Bergan county. They are very excited about the extra softies we have!
Once the roads are a bit safer ~ Tuesday or Wednesday I am hoping ~ the girls and I will take a little field trip after school to Hobokin to drop off the softies for the Boys and Girls clubs. I will try to get some photos of the critters with their new owners.
It may be a few more weeks before the rest of the softies make their way to Bergan county, we are still working with the United way to find the right group to hand them off to. We want to make sure they go to the kiddies who need them because of Sandy.
It sure has been fun opening all these boxes and giving every little critter some extra love.
The spare room (which will one day be Kyla’s room) will be so empty!
It seems like the last batch of boxes was heavy on the monsters. We love the monsters in this house! The girls used to have imaginary Monsters who lived in their closet and came out to play with them at night.
Look at this! Sometimes there is extra love just for me in a box. Oh, my, these were yummy! I shared a few with the kids and the husband, but only a few :^)
As I said, lots of monsters.
And a strawberry girl as well!
Everyone is given extra love and hugs to bring with them to their new kids.
This elephant is pretty high on my list of “it’s~really~going~to~be~hard~to~give~this~one ~away!”
We opened another 131 softies
That makes 371 all together!!
It’s been a blast! Thank you

Awesome! Thanks so much for collecting them! 🙂
Great Job Jess, I’m sure the softies benefit from all that extra love. I proud that you are involved in these projects.
