Making Yarn.

Last year I made a bunch of Eli hats with Carisma Loops and Thread yarn. I was organizing all my yarn that was still in boxes, and I found a bunch of little balls of the leftovers. So, I made yarn!!

I cut the yarn balls into 2 to 4 yard long pieces, and then tied them back together, mixing up the colors and the sizes. I wound it onto the swift as I tied it together, then wound it into 2 large cakes with the ball winder.

I’m not sure what I will make with it, but it will be fun!

I have also been working on Lunette. Not as much as I would like. I am hoping to be able to dedicate a lot more time to her next week.

As usual, I am cleaning and organizing. One day I will get it all how I want it. Around the time I am ready to retire.

The rest of this week is going to be dedicated to the Stevie Nicks shawl. I am quite happy with how it is progressing.

Wednesday and Thursday are book fair days. You know how I love spending the days at school for the book fair. The kids are just so darn cute!!

Have a nice nite!

  1. I like the idea of making yarn, that you have there is gorgeous. but what are you going to do with all them tails. I don’t have the patience for joints/tails, and they always manage to show up in the middle of a row, lol.
