Single Crochet Pattern Round UpPin

Single crochet is one of the first stitches most crocheters learn. It’s great for a beginner to be able to make a finished item. So I have collected some patterns made mostly with single crochet.

Here is the Stitchopedia post that teaches single crochet. There is a video, written instructions, and step-by-step photos!

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.

1) Tessie Bear ~ Designed by from Grammy’s Heart, with Love
Tessie Bear was first made with love back in 2008. This adorable little bear is jointed! Her arms and legs move for posing. Originally I created the pink one for our youngest gran’girl’s first birthday. Tessie Bear fit quite well into the Going to Grammy & Grandaddy’s suitcase set we were creating for her.

2) Spike Stitch Cowl ~ designed by Kim Guzman
This is a very quick project made with chunky yarn and a large hook.

3) Fashion Doll Nightgown Pattern ~ Designed by Rebeckah’s Treasures
This nightgown pattern is for Barbie-sized fashion dolls and can be made in several different lengths.

4) Fantastic Curly Flower ~ Designed by Oombawka Designs
Rhondda has designed a fun flower that I just love!

5) Basic Single Crochet Coaster ~ Designed by Jessie At Home
This simple coaster can be made by a crochet beginner, yet is still nice enough for an advanced crocheter to make as well. There is a video and chart to help, making this a great learning project. These coasters work very nicely with my Stripy Single Crochet Placemat.

6) Fun Striped Wig ~ Designed by Sara Sach
This hat is stitched in a sc rib pattern, so it is very easy to adjust to any size.

7) Crooked Coffee Cozy ~ Designed by Danyel Pink Designs
This style of coffee cozy was one of the first I ever made… I’ve been using mine since 2009. I keep it in my purse (now a diaper bag) and use it on all hot & cold drinks!

Don’t forget to check out some of the other great Round Ups that have happened in Blogland over the last week!
