Stripes and Swirls Crochet Pattern Round Up from Jessie At HomePin

Playing with color is fun! Stripes and swirls give us the chance to do just that. So grab a few of your favorite colors, and work up some of these patterns featuring stripes and swirls.

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.

1) Keiko Wrap ~ designed by Kim Guzman
Another beautiful Tunisian crochet pattern from Kim!

2) Crochet Rugby Scarf ~ Designed by Little Monkeys Crochet
I have been toying with the idea of doing a horizontally-striped crochet scarf for a while now… when I fell in love with a rugby-style knit scarf at the store a while back, I knew I needed to try it.

3) Joseph’s Puff Stitch Blanket ~ Designed by Jessie Rayot
Here is a fun puff stitch pattern I designed for a baby blanket for a friend of mine. By working the puff stitches around the posts of the row below, they create little polka dots that drop down into the previous color.

4) Candy the Elf Hat ~ Designed by Jessie Rayot
The candy cane colored spirals on this fun elf hat will bring a smile to your face. Available in toddler to adult sizes, this pattern is fun and whimsical!

5) Nautilus Baby Beanie ~ Designed by Creative Threads by Leah for Cre8tion Crochet
This Nautilus Baby Beanie is super adorable.

6) Serape Shawl ~ Designed by Marie Segares
This stripe pattern in this rectangular shawl is inspired by the serape shawls of Mexico. The special stitch creates an interesting texture and a gentle drape.

7) Helix Hat ~ Designed by Danyel Pink
The Helix Hat is a fun, striped beanie that starts with a three-colored spiral at the top. The instructions are color-coded, and include color illustrations.

8) Rainbow Dash Baby Blanket ~ Designed by Beatrice Ryan Designs
This Free Crochet Pattern is an adorable baby blanket that is bright and cheery… It can be made using one or more colors to get the effect you desire. Great texture front and back too!

Don’t forget to check out some of the other great Round Ups that have happened in Blogland over the last week!

If you want some fun stripes in a kit (pattern and yarn all together) Take a look at Craftsy Kits. Here is one I love:
