Bridge to Brownies!

The girls and I have enjoyed two fabulous years of Girl Scout Daisies, and Thursday night they became Girl Scout Brownies! I am so proud of them.

I love it when they do something and they say “I am going to (do this) because it is what a good Girl Scout would do”. Or when they see someone do something that is no so nice and they say “That is not a very Girl Scout thing to do.” I hope when they are adults they look at their Girl Scout years as fondly as I look back at mine.

We started off with a little gathering in the park.

Baby Joey was (as always) a big hit! The girls get so excited when he comes along.

After some social time, we headed over to the bridge and had our little Bridging ceremony.

Kyla is too!!

So yesterday I had a photoshoot for the 2 designs I am entering in the CGOA Design Competition next month. The actual finished items get sent in, but I needed photos first. It is my goal to publish the patterns right after the competition so you can get them right away!

Would you like to see them?

Molly (the lovely model for the photo shoot) says “No peaking!!” *photo by my awesome photographer, Emily!

Sorry, but I can not share the photos with you until after the competition. Rules and all. 🙂

Later on last night, some of the moms of the first graders got together for a Mom’s Night Out.
