Dinosaurs Crochet Pattern Round Up

Rawr!!!!!! Dinosaurs are so much fun for the littles! Really, I’ve never met a kid who didn’t love dinos. They are huge and fascinating and they ruled the world for a very, very, very long time!! We have enough dinosaur books in this house to get any budding paleontologist well on the way to success. So it seemed to me that a dinosaur round up would be a great idea.

Simply Collectible Round Up

Simply Collectible ~ Crochet Pattern Round Up from Jessie At Home

This week I am pleased to feature a wonderful designer who is also a great friend: Celina Lane of Simply Collectible! Celina is quite versatile in her creations. She has some fun and adorable amigurumi patterns, many lovely wraps and accessories, and a variety of other crochet goodies. Celina loves to show off what YOU make with her patterns, so she has a “you made this” feature where you can share pictures of finished items you have made using simply Collectible patterns. You can learn a little more about Celina here.

Celina has many free crochet patterns that can be found on her blog, and several sale patterns as well. Being the generous soul that she is, she has provided a coupon code for Jessie At Home fans to get 75% off those sale patterns on Ravelry!! Use the coupon code

Rhinebeck 2014!

What a fabulous weekend!! I spent all day Sunday at the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival. I’ll tell you about that in a moment, but first I want to share a photo from Saturday.

Out-to-dinner-for-Daddy's-birthday

Doug’s birthday was on Thursday, but the girls only got to see him for an hour. They wanted to really celebrate his birthday, so we had a Daddy’s Birthday Day on Saturday. We went out for frozen yogurt, to a movie, then out to dinner. The girls love those coloring mats at the restaurants!

Sunday morning I got up bright and early and drove into the City to pick up my friend Claire (we’re both admins for the Knitting Facebook group) and 2 of her friends. It was the first time I have met Claire in person, and she was as fabulous as I thought she would be! Then it was a nearly 2 hour drive up to Rhinebeck.

Daisy Animal Flip Books!

Here are the results of the unique animals we created at our last Daisy meeting. At the start of the meeting the girls all colored various animals I had printed out. We talked about what “unique” means (Yay Alexa for knowing the meaning of unique!!). We discussed what makes each of them unique and what makes each of the animals they had colored unique. While the girls were having a snack, I cut the animals into 3 and put them … Read more

Guest Blogger ~ Kimberly of Hooking Rainbows

Nothing like getting the monthly guest blog post out the day before the month is over! It’s been a rather interesting month over her At Home. Yet our guest has been very patient with me. I am really enjoying meeting all these awesome bloggers! This month I got to get to know a lovely lady who is in a few Facebook groups with me, but who I had never really “met” before. I’m glad I finally got to know her a bit, … Read more

Ready to Give Hope ~ 371 times!

We have finally finished opening the last of the Project 19 boxes. Those boxes kept coming all the way into February, and I wanted to wait to show you the final pile ‘o hope until they were all here and opened and hugged. Here is the tiniest package of hope that we received, and its inhabitant. Isn’t she the cutest? Kyla was very excited about the Rainbow Unicorn!! We had been in contact with the Boys and Girls clubs of Hobokin … Read more

106!! Craft Hope 19

With all the … life … happening in my life lately, I am rather late in sharing the last Craft Hope box opening adventure. There were two full boxes that contained a total of 44 of these little sock beenie critters. Many of them came with cards stating the name of the critter, and the first name and hometown of the creator. This is my favorite box so far. I couldn’t wait for the girls to open it! There was much … Read more

I did it again

Once again I have teamed up with the amazing Craft Hope! The new web page is still under construction, but the Facebook page is running smoothly. So hop on over to the Craft Hope Facebook page and give them a “like.” Then check out Project 19 :: Dolls, Animals, and Monsters. Oh My! Share it with anyone you know who may be able to make handmade softies for kids who lost so much from Sandy. There are two people collecting for this project, the lovely Katrina up in NH, and yours truly.
