Cricut Explore Air 2 – Fast and Fabulous
By now you all know how much I love my Cricut Explore Air (you can read all about it and what it does HERE). Well, I am now the proud owner of a Cricut Explore Air 2!! It’s so awesome, and a very pretty mint green and silver.
Cricut fun for school days!
With the beginning of the school year comes lots of crafts. The most recent school craft was personalizing composition books. Both girls came home with the same assignment, so downstairs we all went to the Cricut!
We looked through the Cricut Design Space and started looking through the myriad of images available with our Cricut Access subscription. Every time the girls saw one they liked, we put it in our tray and chose a color for it.
Once we had looked through all the images (this took a while), we made a cut list and started cutting. The girls loved pushing the buttons!
Summer Fun! – LBI 2016
Hello my blogland friends! I hope your summer has been wonderful. Ours is coming to a close – school is starting shortly. We’ve had some fun adventures this summer. We spent last week on LBI (Long Beach Island, NJ), and I have some photos to share with you. But first, I wanted to share some cake photos! My parents and I all missed the girl’s 9th birthday, so a few weeks ago when we were all together we had another birthday for them. We did a few things to celebrate, including letting the girls make their own cakes!

The deck is done (ish)
Well, with the exception of painting, the deck is done! Here are some photos of the process. The girls helped Daddy and Grandpa dig the post holes. They go 36″ down! Here they are helping more, this time with the deck frame. The outer frame is done!! The last of the inside framing. Dad put the router to a LOT of use making notches in the railing posts. Timber! …or: My new Ryobi tools!
TIMBER!! Today I’m sharing pictures of the demo of the old deck and of my newest Ryobi tools. I’ll share more photos of the construction at a later date, I have lots of photos, so I think a few posts will be the best way to go. If you need a refresher, here is the “before” post.
The fist thing that had to happen before we could build a new deck was the demo of the old deck. The girls had a great time helping Grandpa with the demo. They learned a lot, and had a blast!
