This is our deck. Take a good look. It’s not long for this world.
I’m not sure how old our little deck is, but it’s certainly sad. The stairs are uneven, and the whole thing just feels unsafe.
Well, with the exception of painting, the deck is done! Here are some photos of the process. The girls helped Daddy and Grandpa dig the post holes. They go 36″ down! Here they are helping more, this time with the deck frame. The outer frame is done!! The last of the inside framing. Dad put the router to a LOT of use making notches in the railing posts. Here we have Vada, the human clamp. Kyla and Vada enjoyed helping … Read more

You can find the pattern for my Fur Top Holiday Stockings HERE. This year I have a video tutorial to help you make those stockings! The video is nearly an hour long. You can watch the whole thing for help with the entire pattern, or you can just skip to the parts that you need a little extra help with. Either way, you will need the pattern … Read more

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know I love Kreinik carry along threads. I have used them in many of my patterns, and plan on continuing to do so. The yardage on the cones is always plenty, the metallics are sparkly, the glow-in-the-darks glow bright and for a long time, the reflective really reflects well, they are all wonderful! And the color choices – SO MANY!!! They really bring your project up a notch. So, in honor of my love for these awesome carry along threads, I have put together a round up of patterns that use them, including several of mine and 2 knit patterns!
Kreinik is one of our awesome sponsors for Yarn and Wine 2016, so if you attend, you will get to play with some of these awesome carry alongs as well!!

Easter is coming! So is spring! This year I thought I would welcome the spring with a round up of free crochet patterns for eggs and baskets. That seems to be my theme lately, lots of baskets for all the eggs of my business, so this round up has a bit of a double meaning. Happy crocheting, and remember not to put all your eggs in one basket. 😉
