Crocheted Cowls to keep you warm

Cowls are so awesome. They stay around your neck so you don’t have to worry about them slipping off like some scarves. Some are short and worn without twisting, and some are long enough to wrap around a couple times. I have found 7 great free crochet cowl patterns for you to enjoy!

Cowls free crochet pattern round up from Jessie At HomePin

Here are the names and links of each pattern.

1) Comfy Mochi Cowl by Jessie At Home
“This simple cowl is worked in rows and features large diagonal blocks of solid sections and mesh sections. It’s nice and long so it can be wrapped around several times and in many ways.”

2) Through the Cracks Cowl by 5 Little Monsters
“I got the idea for it just looking through my stash of yarn that was leftover from other projects and saw a small ball of Red Heart Unforgettable that was left over from my Spring Colors Scarf. I really like the colors of that yarn but there was just a small amount left and I wasn’t sure what I could with it.”

3) Textured Button Cowl by Underground Crafter
“It’s that time of year where I can never decide if I need a coat or how many layers to wear. It’s a bit too warm for a big scarf but it’s still dipping at night, so I want to keep my neck protected.”

4) SPRING MEADOW COWL by Sherry”s Crochet Corner
“This cowl came about because of a mistake that I made in my original pattern. I had to improvise in order not to waste the yarn and the time I had invested in this project.”

5) Ribbons and Grace Neck Warmer by Kirsten Halloway Designs
“For me this beautiful neck warmer embodies timeless romance, and charm. I’m a bit of an “old soul” and go weak in the knees for anything lacy, and feminine”

6) Winterberry Warm-up Cowl by Beatrice Ryan Designs
“This lovely crochet cowl design is soft, fashionable and can be worn in several ways… Pull it over your head to be worn as a contemporary cowl, Down over your shoulders to keep the chill off, As a hooded wrap to keep you warm and dry… However you wear it, the Winterberry Warm-up Cowl will keep you in style!!”

7) Slanting Shells Cowl by Crochet ‘n’ Create
“Make this slanting shells cowl as a treat to yourself to ward off the last few weeks of Winter, it is a great replacement for a scarf, made in a worsted weight yarn with a leaning shell design, wear it loose around your neck for style or folded over for warmth, I have crocheted it in a pretty lilac color, but it would look nice in dark colors too.”
