In honor of my new baby cousin who will be joining us shortly, I’ve created this lovely baby dress. Grace and Charm features a double crochet top with a pineapple lace skirt and cute little sleeve caps. It should fit most babies newborn to 3 months. Made with Plymouth yarn Anne, 100% mercerized cotton, it is easy to care for and is sure to become a keepsake.

  1. I LOVE THIS LITTLE DRESS. I DON’T CROCHET MUCH, BUT I DID A LITTLE BIT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. DO YOU THINK THIS DRESS WOULD FIT AN 18″ DOLL?

  2. I absolutely love this! Thank you for making it a free pattern. I have a question, though. I have a 3 month old granddaughter who is about a 6-9 month size, and one who is 13 months, who is about a 12 month. Do you think if I used a thicker yarn-like a cotton sport-weight or dk weight, that I could follow the pattern as written and it would turn out big enough? Or maybe use a bigger hook? Just wondering.

    Reply
    • I thicker yarn with a bigger hook will give you a bigger size, but it’s hard to figure out what size it will be. You can make the top section and try it on, if the top fits, the skirt will be fine.

  3. I absolutely love this dress it is adorable. I do have one question. do you have a problem with someone makeing the dress and selling it, I would always include your website and name when posting the finished dress for sale and any pictures would be of the dress I crocheted. I do understand if you dont want the pattern used in this way. I try to always contact the pattern creator before doing so if they have not either expressly allowed or forbidden it. I love to crochet and knit but am not blessed with the skill to design patterns

  4. When making the first part with color A where you say to skip the next 36 stitches in row 6 do we tie off or slip stitch the 36?

    Reply
    • You make the ch 2, then you skip 36 sts and 2 dc in the next st. All those skipped sts are the bottom of the sleeve. 🙂

      Reply
  5. Yes that I understand but when you say skip what do I do fasten off or slip stitch all 36? I don’t know what I should do to skip the 36 stitches how do I get from the chain 2 to the 2 dc?
