The Granny Ripple Wrap is a large, warm wrap great for cool evenings. It mixes the granny stitch and the ripple to create the granny ripple. The ombre coloring is really brought out by the stitch. Large tassels at the end bring some interest to the wrap.

I love this wrap and have been hunting for a pattern to use up some of my self striping yarn!! This is perfect!! One question, how much yarn did you use to make this?
2 skeins, about 800 yds.
Thank you so much Jessie!!!
I will be having some cool evenings soon. Maybe I need to think about this wrap, I really like it.
One more question, I have started this and love the pattern!! I would love to use this to make an afghan and wondered what make my starting chain in multiples of..?
Thanks!!!! 🙂
I think it was 24 plus 2. Just make the chain a little longer and pick out the extra stitches (don’t pull your slip knot tight).
Thank you so much!!!!!!!
I have been trying to get this pattern to work. Granny ripple needs a multiple of 18. 74 is not a multiple of 18 and will not give a width of 20″. I have tried everything I can think of to make this pattern work as written.
My questions are is it 70″ long and 20″ wide? Why does the pattern say change colors every couple rows when using required yarn there are no color changing needed?
This pattern is a multiple of 24 plus 2, so there is nothing wrong with it. I removed the color change note.
I don’t understand if the wrap is 72″ long or 72″wide. If it’s 72″ wide and 20″ inches wide then why does the pattern say “repeat row 2 until piece is 28″tall”? Even with a 74 chain this is not even 20″ wide. I am dead on with gauge.
Ahh, that whole line was an editing issue, it came from another pattern. It should be correct now. Sorry about that. It should be 20″ wide as you get a few rows in.
I can’t get my first row to work out. Why am I ending up with 4 stitches when I chained 74?
I don’t know, but if you have all the stitches in there, you can pick out the extra chains.
I am ending up with only 3 points after the second row. Is this right.
yes
Thank you for this lovely pattern.
