I haven’t forgotten you, my friends. Things have been a whirlwind around here. Yesterday and today is the Holiday Gift Shop at the girls’ school, and I have a table there. So I have been busily making items for the kids to buy for Holiday gifts. I forgot my camera yesterday, but it is packed up this morning, so I will get you some photos today!
Every weekend this month my friend Maria is having an Artisan shop at her studio, so I have also been doing my best to get some good inventory going for that.
Then there has been lots to do as one of the three new leaders for the Kindergarten Daisy troup at our school. The Girls Scouts are not fooling around, there are background checks and training for all troup leaders. I’m good with that, I think it is a wonderful policy.
I have a new pattern to release this weekend, and maybe even another free tutorial for you as well. Keep an eye out, when the pattern is released there will be a give away on my Facebook page for one of my patterns (the winner gets to choose which one they want.)

I saw many beautiful things at the girls’ school yesterday. I saw kids put down something they wanted for themselves so they would have enough money to buy something for another. I saw a special ed boy with his teacher who never once lost physical contact with her the whole time they were in the shop, he held her had, hugged her arm, put her arm around himself; he clearly took comfort and found his calmness in her presence. And I saw my girls seeing the best in everyone else, they would come up to me and point out other kids to tell me nice things about them. It makes me so happy to see my kids always looking for the good in others, and it makes me so happy that others see the good in them.
