I-Believe

I was 16 years old. Twenty years have past, but I will always remember that day.

I had a part time job at Hancock fabrics in Westerville, OH. Christmas was soon to be upon us, yet it was a rather slow day. There were only four of us in the store, all employees, including Kim, our manager. Other then the Christmas music piping through the store, it was very quite. (more…)

Lorraine ~ Free Knit Ear Warmer Pattern!

Lorraine is a quick ear warmer pattern that buttons in the back. This is a great way to keep ears warm, without a lot of damage to styled hair. I made a crochet version of Lorraine the other day, and it just screamed “make me in knit, as well!” So here is the knit version.

Lorraine ~ Free Crochet Ear Warmer Pattern

Lorraine came about as the solution to a conundrum. The littles and I wanted to give their awesome principal a Christmas gift. I remembered her helping students out of cars at the drop off door in the snow…with no hat or head/ear covering of any sort. I don’t know if she just forgot, or if she didn’t want to mess up her hair. So I came up with Lorraine – a quick ear warmer pattern that buttons in the back. Lorraine is a great way to keep ears warm, without a lot of damage to styled hair!

Well I am testing a few patterns now. The deadline for both is February 24th. As always, I am running the tests on Ravelry.

First is a project I have been showing you sneaks of for a while now:

This is the Wendy skirt. The pattern is for child small all the way to adult 5X. This one is a child small, made for Vada for Christmas. I have another in the works for Kyla. Sorry it is model~less, but I didn’t want to spoil the surprise! (more…)
