Patterns to test . . . and some cleaning

Hello my friends! I am retesting 2 of my patterns. I did not have enough testers in the last go around, so I am testing these both again just to be sure that all the sizes are good! I am now running my tests in a group on Facebook. If you want to test either of these patterns, or if you will be interested in testing knit or crochet patterns for me in the future, then join this group.

Angela-Shrug-Knit-PatternPin

First is the Angela Shrug. It hangs a bit over the shoulders to create a small cap sleeve. It’s body is lace with a ribbed boarder around. Angela is a circle-ish shrug made to close over the breasts, and cover them completely, even in the larger sizes! The sizes for this pattern run from xs to 5x. The deadline for this test is June 15th, and the details can be found here.

Next is my Wendy Skirt. It is knit from the top down, so it can be as short or long as you want, with one or two spirals of net yarn worked around the skirt. The spirals can be worked just as spirals (as seen on the two child sizes) or a ruffle can also be worked around the top under the waistband, and/or around the bottom at the hem (as seen in the adult size.) The larger sizes have the spirals spaced farther apart then the smaller sizes. The sizes I am testing for this pattern run from xs to 5x (I no longer need the child sizes tested.) The deadline for this test is June 15th, and the details can be found here.

Doug was on spring break last week. He still had to work at his second job in the afternoons/evenings, but he was home during the school days, so we got some stuff done around the house then. On Monday we finally got the playroom in order with the new (hand~me~down) additions ~ a play kitchen, a doll house, and some organizational items left from the apartment.

The doll house needs a bit of work, but it is quite loved!

Dress-up-areaPin

We have a little dress up area for the girls now.

Play-KitchenPin

Here is the pretty little kitchen one of Doug’s co-workers gave us.

reading-hide-a-wayPin

We cleaned up the little reading corner and added some of the craft supplies in there as well.

Back-wall-of-porch-alcovePin

Kyla’s heart girl found a space to hang out.

Spider-Man-wallPin

So did Vada’s Spidey.

We even cleaned up the rainbow shelves!

Once the playroom was done, we were able to empty out some of the extra stuff from the girl’s bedroom. We will add a few things back in, but we are still in organization mode…

Vada's-SidePin

Here is Vada’s side, we hung a few shelves for her. The bottom one is for toys, and the top one is for “look at, but don’t touch” items.

Kyla's-SidePin

Kyla got some shelves as well. It is so nice to get the toys off the end of the bed!

That’s about it for today. I hope you have had a nice weekend, my friends!

  1. I would love to test any and all crochet patterns, either this time, or in the future. I wear extra small to small sizes. I have an 11 year old granddaughter who wears a girls 16, or juniors 3, depending on the style. I have a 7 year old grandson, who wears an 8, and a 4 year old granddaughter wearing a 4T. All of them are happy to lend their bodies to the test sizing process. I also have access to a 10 month old girl pretty regularly. Sadly, I never learned to Knit, but for Crochet, I would be happy to be your go to girl

    • Thank you. It is one of my designs. Actually, that is my Mother in Law and her grandchildren. The design is just something that came to me when I saw the net yarn. I am testing the pattern now (in the group listed in the post) and I do still need testers. I plan on releasing both patterns at the end of June. They will be on Ravelry and Craftsy.
