Is it a scarf? Is it a wrap? Is it a shawl? It’s all three! Pointedly is a scarf with a triangular shawl point that can be wrapped in a variety of different ways. Made with 2 colors of the fiber seed Sprout Worsted, it works up quickly and looks beautiful.

7″ x 62″

Yarn:
the fiber seed – Sprout Worsted: Sugar Plum S055
the fiber seed – Sprout Worsted: Natural S037

Hook:
US-H/8, 5.0mm

Gauge:
21 sts (7 v’s) x 13 rows = 4” [10 cm] in dc v stitch

Other supplies:
yarn needle

Stitches and Abbreviations:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)

Pattern:
Row 1: With Sugar Plum, ch 247, (dc, ch 1, dc) in 5th ch from hook, *skip 2, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st, repeat from * 39 more times, skip 2, (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 3, dc, ch 1, dc) in next st, **skip 2, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st, repeat from ** until 2 sts remain, dc in last st.
Row 2: Ch 3, (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch-1 sp across to ch-3 corner, (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 3, dc, ch 1, dc) in ch-3 corner, (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch-1 across, dc in top of turning ch.
Rows 3 & 4: With Natural, repeat row 2.
Rows 5 & 6: With Sugar Plum, repeat row 2.
Repeat rows 3-6 two more times, then rows 3 & 4 one additional time. – 16 rows total

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

  1. First off, I love this pattern! I made this using a hot pink, which matches my hair, and black. I took some free creativity that made this look a bit more funky, like me. I want to share what I did as noted below:

    First 2 rows in pink
    Next 2 rows in black
    1 row pink
    1 row black
    1 row pink
    2 rows black
    2 rows pink
    2 rows black
    1 row pink
    1 row black
    1 row pink
    2 rows black
    2 rows pink

    That made for 20 rows.
    The single color rows created a zigzag pattern, which gives it a bit more flare.

    I did a HDC border in black, which made it look more finished. On the ends, I did 2 HDC stitches per row.

    I added fringe, which looks awesome and adds an element of chaos to something with such a unique pattern.

    I would recommend this adjustment as an alternate to the pattern because it came out awesomely. It may draw in the younger generations. I wish I could post photos! I hope you enjoy my recommendations! Thank you again for the lovely pattern!
