Purple Crochet Pattern Round Up from Jessie At HomePin

Tonight I have a collection of purple crochet patterns to share with you. Of course, you can make your crochet creations in whatever color you like, but these sure are pretty in purple.

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.

1) Bulky Striped Cowl ~ by Cre8tion Crochet
I love big bulky cowls, and I’m really into stripes right now. I wanted to create a functional yet stylish winter and fall accessory, the result was this Bulky Striped Cowl. This design has high impact for fashion yet is easy to create.

2) Lavender Blooms Shawl ~ by Jessie at Home
This triangular shawl gets its name from the bloom shaped cluster of stitches used in the pattern, and from the color of the yarn I used. The shawl is made with two colors, which change at the end of every row, but there is no cutting the yarn. A technique common in Japanese crochet is used to make the color changes work.

3) Cocoon Infant Prop ~ by Stitch 11
This infant prop is stretch and should fit newborn to at least 6 months.

4) Honeysweet Baby Blanket ~ by Kim Guzman
This blanket pattern uses the Tunisian Crochet Honeycomb Cable stitch.

5) Dainty Cross Bookmark ~ by Crochet Memories
There probably are as many cross bookmarks around as there are flowers I think. Here’s my version which can be made and gifted with a bible. Insert pretty satin ribbon into the cross to make a lovely gift as is, or paired with a bible.

6) Tamara’s Kismet Square ~ by Jessie at Home
Tamara’s Kismet Square uses the traditional Jacob’s Ladder stitch in the center, and is bordered by the Jacob’s ladder stitch flipped on its side. This creates a lot of fun texture and a really nifty~looking square, if I do say so myself.

7) Quadrilateral Broomstick Lace Shawl ~ by Underground Crafter
Quadrilateral was my third published pattern, released in the August, 2011 issue of the now defunct KnitCircus magazine. It was one of my early explorations into broomstick lace, and it’s very simple to make but quite stunning. It’s actually one of my favorite shawls to wear, but due to the rectangular shape, I usually use a shawl pin.

8) Queen Anne’s Lace Headband ~ by Cre8tion Crochet
This simple Queen Anne’s Lace Headband uses a method I discovered on the blog My Hobby Is Crochet.

9) Mariposas Beanie ~ by The Crochet Lounge
This beanie is part of a bigger series of accessory patterns that use this stitch.

10) Pocketful of Posies set ~ by Trifles N Treasures
I designed a new baby set with Anne Geddes Baby Yarn, the Pocketful of Posies Set, which includes a dress, and sweet little sandals, but decided at the last minute, that it needed a little something else.

11) Berry Harvest Bandana Cowl ~ by Moogly
The stitch pattern reminds me of ripe blackberries or strawberries, and the color just adds to the yum factor! The Berry Harvest Bandana Cowl can be draped lightly across the shoulders like a lacey shawl, or you can add one button to hold it on for hands free bandana cowl style! With a coat, sweater, or even a t-shirt, it is a great go-to piece for this autumn and winter!

Don’t forget to check out some of the other great Round Ups that have happened in Blogland over the last week!
